BEFORE OUR family SHOOT?

CHOOSING YOUR PHOTOSHOOT LOCATION:

When you think of your family, where does it take you? Maybe it’s making a mess in the kitchen, in the great outdoors, making a pillow fort, building sandcastles, kicking a ball, swimming under a waterfall, or hiking through the forest. The most sentimental photos are the ones that represent you in your family in a place where you would spend quality time together, so it is important to consider this when choosing a location with your photographer.

WHAT BEST DESCRIBES YOUR FAMILY?

Are you adventurous or outrageous, maybe the kids are a little crazy sometimes or they’re old enough to have their own. Are you always on a weekend adventure or going camping together? Whatever the vibe is, it’s important to build this into your images to add that personal touch that makes your photoshoot, you.

WEEKDAY PHOTOSHOOTS ARE BEST!

For outdoor shoots, I usually recommend a sunrise shoot from Monday-Thursday. The reason for this is that there are fewer people around and the lighting is always incredible! If you’d like to do a shoot at a waterfall, morning is best to beat the crowds as people tend to linger for the afternoons. Particularly in locations around Byron Bay, you don’t want tourists in the background of your precious family photos!

MAKE SURE TO PACK A FEW THINGS:

Think about whether you want outfit changes, bathers, towels, makeup, hairbrush, umbrella, walking shoes, snacks (seriously, kids get hangry!), and importantly, props (maybe the picnic rug you always use, a frisbee, or some beers to enjoy)!

Your gallery will be popped straight into our queue where come it’s turn, it will be edited carefully and with love.

Your exact delivery date will depend on the season, however, you can expect to receive your gallery in 4 weeks or less from the date of your photoshoot!
Each package has a different level of coverage. The quantities of what each package covers is covered in your Family Photography Information Guide.
Neutral colours are always best! Avoid bright colours and patterns as they tend to distract the scene. Whites, blacks, browns, greys and denim always work a treat. Have a look through my website for some inspiration!
You will receive a your gallery online gallery. In your gallery you will be able to download your high-resolution images and purchase fine art prints. This gallery can easily be shared with your family and friends with just a link!
Yes, payment plans are available and we can customise a schedule that is suitable to you.
I am based in Byron Bay but often spend a few months of the year back on the Mornington Peninsula, Melbourne, where I was born. I service all across the country and also regularly capture families on the Gold Coast!

Sessions range from 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on your needs and location(s).

With extra time comes extra opportunities for adventures, outfits, kids running away, changes in lighting, mood, and overall variety in photos from your session.
