Having a photo shoot with your partner is one of the most underrated ways to celebrate the two of you. As a couple photographer, I can vouch for taking advantage of this adventurous, daring and more independent stage of your life. When it is just you and your partner, you can go the extra mile when choosing a location to have your photos taken to add that extra personal touch!

MEET & DREAM

We love to meet other romantics and capturing their unique dynamics. We can create a mood board together with images that you resonate with to ensure that your love is captured in a way that is truest-to you.

PREPARE & PLAN

From location, outfits and props, we will work together to set a scene that brings your inspiration to life. Throughout the process we will get to know each other, so that come your shoot, it will feel as though we have already met!

ON THE DAY

Emma approachs the day prepared and ready to create. Emma will use a fusion of providing direction and reassurance so you can be super confident in front of the camera, and dipping back to let moments unfold honestly and naturally.

Your final gallery will be edited meticulously and delivered to your hands in less than 6 weeks.

WHAT TO CONSIDER
BEFORE OUR PHOTOSHOOT?

CHOOSING A LOCATION

When you think of your love, where does it take you? Maybe it’s the two of you snuggling in the kitchen, in the great outdoors, dancing under the streetlights in the rain, going for a skinny dip, around a campfire, in the garden, swimming under a waterfall, or hiking through the forest. The most sentimental photos are the ones that represent you in your partner in a place where you would spend quality time together, so it is important to consider this when choosing a location with your photographer.

WEEKDAY PHOTOSHOOTS ARE THE BEST!

For outdoor shoots, I usually recommend a sunrise shoot from Monday-Thursday. The reason for this is that there are fewer people around and the lighting is always incredible! If you’d like to do a shoot at a waterfall, morning is best to beat the crowds as people tend to linger for the afternoons. Particularly in locations around Byron Bay, you don’t want tourists in the background of your precious photos!

MAKE SURE TO PACK A FEW THINGS:

Think about whether you want outfit changes, bathers, towels, makeup, hairbrush, umbrella, walking shoes, snacks, and importantly, props (maybe the picnic rug you always use, or some beers to enjoy)!
